St. Phoebe Prayer Service

St. Raphaela Center will be hosting an upcoming gathering of the Philadelphia chapter of Discerning Deacons, a growing international project that is attempting to serve the discernment process of the restoration of women to the diaconate in the Catholic Church, something that is being discerned in the current global Synod process. On Thursday, August 3, Discerning Deacons’ is holding its monthly St. Phoebe Prayer Service, an initiative to make St. Phoebe the Deacon known throughout the Church and to and seek her intercession for the global synod. We will begin at 6pm with a potluck dinner (provided by the members of the Philadelphia Phoebe Circle) before joining the international Discerning Deacons community for the St. Phoebe virtual prayer service at 7pm. The evening will conclude by 9pm. Please join us for an evening of community, prayer, and discernment about how we might assist our parishes and university communities, as well as our Archdiocesan leadership in the synodal process.
