Sister Jessica Kerber, acj, Director (Ext: 11) Email

Sister Jessica was born and raised in Wauwatosa, WI, just outside of Milwaukee. She graduated from Valparaiso University with an elementary education degree. She then served with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps on the Northern Cheyenne reservation in Montana. Jessica entered with the Handmaids in 2006, having met these Sisters on a mission trip in El Salvador. After professing her first vows in 2009, she went to Madrid to complete her philosophy and theology studies at the Jesuit Pontifical University. Since arriving back in Philadelphia in 2014, she has been the Director of Religious Education at Ancillae-Assumpta Academy, and has complemented the work among the elementary students with ministry among the university students, doing some campus ministry and spiritual direction at St. Joseph's University and teaching an introductory theology class at Villanova. This summer, she'll be collaborating with other Handmaids and Jesuits for the pre-World Youth Day Ignatian experience, Magis, in Poland. She is eager to be a part of the team at St. Raphaela Center, offering others the possibility of a further encounter with God.

Sister Mary Ann Craig, acj, Email

Sister Mary Ann is from Philadelphia. Her ministry experiences have included serving as a teacher at Ancilla Domini Academy and Ancillae-Assumpta Academy, as the Coordinator of Care for Elderly Sisters, as an Emergency Services Specialist at Camillus House Shelter and Drug Rehabilitation Center, and as the Secretary of the Handmaids’ U.S. Province. While she has served at the Center on previous occasions, she most recently returned as a member of the support staff in 2011. She enjoys learning about spirituality and keeping up on current events. One of the things she loves about St. Raphaela Center is to see people pursuing their thirst for God and knowing that the Handmaids are helping them in that quest.

Sister Kathy Gazie, acj, (Ext: 23) Email

Sister Kathy is from Wyandotte, Michigan. Her ministry experiences have included serving as an elementary teacher’s aide at St. Peter the Apostle; as a partner teacher, Art teacher, after-school care teacher, and pre-school teacher at Ancillae-Assumpta Academy; and as a member of Shawl Ministry. After having served at the Center from 1991-1996 as a member of the staff and Mission Center and coordinator of the Adorers of the Blessed Sacrament and volunteers, she most recently returned to the Center in 2014 as a member of the support staff and as a sacristan. At St. Raphaela Center, she most loves the atmosphere where someone can come and be with and be touched by the Lord. She feels presence of God through the staff and retreatants and desires to make whatever she does an experience that might lead others to God by doing everything with love and for love.
